Here’s what happened in the first episode of Marvel’s Iron Fist on Netflix. You know, so you don’t have to watch it yourself.

Danny Rand, a crazy person, arrives in New York fifteen years after a plane crash that supposedly killed him and his family. He goes to the business founded by his father and Harold Meachum, only to find that Harold is also dead and the company is now run by Harold’s kids: Ward and Joy. They do not believe that this crazy hobo is their childhood friend and assume that he’s a fraud trying to commit corporate sabotage, so he’s kicked out. Danny continues to act like a crazy hobo, breaking in to Joy’s house, kidnapping and threatening Ward and generally being a nuisance. Danny is also a nuisance to Colleen Wing, local dojo owner, and won’t take no for an answer when he asks for a job.

Ward tries to send his security team to kill Danny, but he fights them off and hides. Ward then goes to talk to his secretly alive father who suggests getting to know more about their enemy.  The next day Danny sneaks back into Rand Enterprises to talk to Joy again, and she drugs him and puts him in an insane asylum.
