The Defenders S1:E3 Worst Behavior

Simple Synopsis

Paths converge as the heroes find their clues all pointing to the same location.

Months ago, Alexandra oversees Elektra’s resurrection, using the last of the Hand’s resources. She begins her training as the Black Sky, becoming an even more efficient killing machine, but she has no memory of who she was.

In the present, Alexandra brings Elektra in to interrogate Stick about the Iron Fist. He uses the opportunity to steal a sword, cut off his own hand, and escape.

Jessica decides to refuse Matt’s help as her lawyer, but given her history he asks if recent events had anything weird about them. She decides not to tell him about Elektra.

Luke tells Claire about his encounter in the alley and she makes the connection to Danny and decides that they need to formally meet. They gather at the dojo and Luke has a hard time believing Danny’s stupid backstory. The two don’t hit it off any better this time, and Luke decides that Danny is too privileged and whiny to work with and leaves.

Meanwhile, Jessica delivers the bad news to Raymond’s wife, and tells her she wants to continue the investigation. She leaves and realizes that Matt is somehow tailing her. She gives him the slip and snaps a photo of him sneaking down an alley and Daredeviling away.

Luke visits Cole in prison and he asks him to stop trying to help, but also to bring his mother some lottery tickets. Danny thinks about what Luke told him, and realizes that he has other assets he can use to fight the Hand. A trip to Rand Enterprises points him at Midland Circle Financial.

Jessica pays a visit to Raymond’s architecture firm and learns that the last building he worked on was Midland Financial, sending her there to investigate. Luke visits Cole’s mother to deliver the lottery tickets and also picks up a Midland Financial clue, on a payment receipt. Colleen rests at the dojo and receives a visit from a very injured Stick.

Danny arrives at Midland circle and confronts the heads of the company, accusing them of being the Hand, and is greeted by Alexandra. Jessica arrives at the building, but is stopped by Matt, back on her tail. He warns her that the building is dangerous, remembering the last time he was there.

As Danny continues to confront the Hand with words the secretary pulls a gun on him. He disarms her, but a shot is fired, and Matt on the ground hears it and rushes into the building, with Jessica on his heals. All of the executives turn on Danny and he is outnumbered and nearly overwhelmed when Luke busts in to help. Matt and Jessica reach their location just when the fight is nearly complete, but the four are approached by more Hand fighters, and Elektra. Matt ends up facing Elektra alone, realizing who she is just as she’s about to kill him, but Danny actually manages to do something right and saves his life, punching Elektra through a wall. The four head to the elevator and make their escape.
