“You are the worst Iron Fist ever.” — Davos

Danny and Colleen wake up in nice bead somewhere else and she has to remind him that he healed her and tell him that they are safe. Joy and Harold have a conversation about his death and Ward needing help, and other things we already know.

Colleen shows Danny around the compound that they are at, saying that this is her family, and that Bakuto took her in. Bakuto then teaches Danny how to recharge his chi and tells him that Gao has been taken out of the picture, but Danny is distrustful. Bakuto shows him a video of a previous Iron Fist and offers to teach him how to really use his powers if he will join up to help him stop people like Gao, but Danny is suspicious and claims that everyone he’s told about the Fist so far has wanted to use it to their own ends, despite that not being the case with literally everyone we’ve seen him tell except for Harold, and him never giving any indication that he realizes that Harold is trying to use him. He’s really hung up on Gao though, so he tries to find her while Colleen begs Bakuto to let her tell him her big secret.

Danny finds Gao locked up in a small apartment on the campus and they have a quick conversation where she calls him an idiot and implies that Bakuto’s group is actually the hand. Bakuto then leads him out and takes him back to Colleen. When he mentions what Gao said Colleen confirms his suspicions, even though Bakuto said Danny shouldn’t know yet, and Danny loses it. He starts yelling at her like she’s having an affair with Bakuto and whining before storming off. He sneaks around, I guess for hours because it’s now night, and sneaks into another building to find a bunch of monitoring equipment and I guess spying on people is confirmation of Hand membership because he gets angry again and breaks stuff before having a scuffle with Bakuto. He knocks Bakuto out and then is apparently about to be overwhelmed by two guys, because he’s never taken on two guys before, and has to be saved. Fortunately the stalker from before conveniently shows up to take them out and is conveniently his old friend Davos from Kun Lun, who insults him before they both start to try to make their way out of the complex.

Now we have a bit of time travel going on because Harold goes to visit the board member that kicked Ward, Joy, and Danny out of the company and kills him, making it look like a suicide. The next day the rest of the board reappoints the Meachums and Danny, wrapping up that storyline, and Joy asks Harold if he had the guy killed, which he truthfully denies, since he did it himself. We then return to the daring escape already in progress, either the previous night, or whatever but who cares about chronology.

Danny and Davos need to break through the door to the complex, because they are shitty at climbing walls all of a sudden, so Danny needs to use the fist to bust it down. Darryl shows up and attacks Danny, catching him off guard, and distracting him while Bakuto sneaks up and stabs him in the side. Angry, in pain, confused, betrayed, and honestly kind of crap at anything everyway, Danny finds that he is not able to summon the fist to bust through the door, so they have to start fighting off a ton of kid Hand soldiers. Fortunately Colleen has a change of heart and opens the door for them to escape. Danny sees this and is super confused.

Davos then tells Danny that he’s here to take him back to Kun Lun, since he broke his oath and abandonded his post, but Danny says there is still too much work to be done here. Davos tells him he’s failed at literally everything and that his only hope is to return with him and hope that their master can fix the fist.
