Simpson goes off the deep end, and an old face returns.

With Kilgrave in the wind with Albert, Jessica and the support group get their stories straight about Hope’s death. Jessica takes off with Trish, combing the local morgues looking for Albert to show up, making contacts. After a long night, Trish argues that they need sleep, but Jessica keeps going. By the time morning rolls around Jessica is exhausted, but still no closer to finding clues on Kilgrave’s location. She chases a guy dressed like him, but gets hit by a truck.

Trish’s show gets interrupted by a visit from Simpson, wanting to apologize for his behavior, and looking to find Jessica, but she blows him off. She heads home to help tend to Jessica’s wounds, and Jess reminisces about her early days in Trish’s house, discovering her powers and trying to save Trish from her abusive mother.

A call from one of the morgue attendants brings Jessica back out into the world. Instead of finding Albert, she discovers Clement’s body, and learns that all of the evidence they had has been burned.

Later, leaving her apartment, Trish runs into Simpson again, and he again presses her to find out where Jessica is, letting slip that he sees her as his main obstacle to killing Kilgrave. They are interrupted by a couple of the other soldiers from his unit, and Simpson pops some more of his combat pills and kills them both in front of her. He locks Trish in her safe room and calls Jessica from her phone, setting up a meet at her office, claiming to know Kilgrave’s location. Trish desperately tries to break her way out.

Jessica and Simpson face off in her office and she begins to realize that he was the one that killed Clements. A fight breaks out, but due to her injuries, Jessica has a hard time competing with his drug enhanced strength.  Trish escapes and arrives in time to help her out and the two lock themselves in the bathroom for a temporary reprieve.

Realizing that they have no other options, Trish decides to take some of the combat enhancers that she stole from Simpson, despite his warnings that she doesn’t have the right tolerances, and that without the blue pills she won’t have a way to come down and will die. She gets a rush of adrenaline and manages to beat him down, but his prediction plays out, and she quickly finds that she can’t breath. As Jessica rushes Trish to the hospital, Koslov brings a team in to retrieve Simpson.

At the hospital, watching over Trish’s recovery, Jessica receives a message from Kilgrave, warning her that he found Luke. She rushes to his bar and arrives just as the place goes up in a huge ball of flame. Luke stumbles out into the street in shock.
